To improve safety conditions on Lake Bosomtwe, the Bosomtwe District Assembly held an official meeting with the Ghana Maritime Authority on Monday, 28th September 2026, to discuss regularizing all boat transport operations on the lake.

The Bosomtwe District Assembly issued an invitation to a meeting scheduled for Thursday, 24th September 2026, at 10:00 am at the Assembly Conference Hall. The meeting was organized by the District Security Council (DISEC) to discuss issues pertaining to the construction of stalls and stores at the Aputuogya market.

The Bosomtwe District held a sod-cutting ceremony at Abuontem on Tuesday, 22nd September, 2026 to commence the construction of 1NO. CHIPs compound and 3 unity accommodation. The program was attended by the District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director, Officials of the District Assembly, the Managing Director - Benchmark Engineering Services, the Chief and Elders at Abuontem, the Assembly Member of the Electoral Area and the entire Community of Abuontem.
