SOD-CUTTING CEREMONY OF THE 24-HOUR ECONOMY MARKET

The Government of Ghana is constructing an ultra-modern market across all District in Ghana as an initiative to boost the 24-Hour Economy Policy. The Bosomtwe District was part of the beneficiaries of the policy.

Pursuant to the above, a sod-cutting ceremony of the 24-hour economy market of the Bosomtwe District was organized on Friday 29th May, 2026 at the Kuntanase New Market Site.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY

Bosomtwe District Assembly through the Bosomtwe Education Directorate (Girl Child Unit) in collaboration with Sunda Company Limited celebrated the Menstrual Hygiene Day at Sawua School Park on Friday, 22nd May, 2026. The theme for the celebration is “Together for a period friendly world”. The programme was graced with the presence of the Hon. District Chief Executive, the Ghana Education Service Directorate, Traditional Council, Christian Council, Girls Child Officer, Gender Desk Officer and staff. The ceremony marked all menstrual hygiene talks and arts.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF PROGRAMMES AND PROJECTS – PHASE 2

The second phase of the monitoring of programmes and projects took place on Thursday, 21st May, 2026 in Kuntanase, Esaso, Jachie, Nkwanta (old town) and Sewua communities at the project sites. The purpose of the monitoring and evaluation was to track progress, ensure accountability and generate evidence – based insights of work towards the achievement of planned targets and also to identify challenges and make recommendations for efficient and effective delivery of programmes.
