
As part of efforts to promote participatory governance and enhance grassroots development, the District Chief Executive (DCE) embarked on a comprehensive Community Engagement exercise. The objective of this initiative was to engage directly with local communities and identify their most pressing developmental challenges. This exercise was conducted between 15th July and 7th August, 2025, across selected communities in the district and forms part of the district’s commitment to inclusive development. The objectives of the community engagement are to provide a platform for community members to voice their developmental needs and concerns, to identify priority issues for inclusion in the district’s development planning framework and to strengthen the relationship between the district assembly and the local communities. The phase 1 of the engagement started in three communities namely Kuntanase, Pramso and Jachie. During the meeting several key concerns were raised by members of the communities regarding the development needs in their area. These concerns included Education, Health, Infrastructure, Employment Issues Road Situation and others. The DCE ensured community members that he was in to work together with them to improve on the development of the constituency.
