Food vendors screening is an exercise conducted in the district once’s every year to ensure food vendors comply with hygiene and safety standards. A total number of Four Hundred and Seventy-Nine (479) food vendors screened. The district commenced with the exercise from 29th September to 27th October, 2025. The communities under covered as at 27th October includes Eereso, Adagya, Feyiase, Aputugha and Abountem.
The exercise is still ongoing, and effort will continue to ensure all food vendors in some of the communities like Feyiase, Aputuogya and Abountem comply with hygiene and safety standards. Those tested positive were ask to run the hepatitis B profile and the profile shows that those tested positive was chronic inactive and are receiving additional education on proper food handling, storage, hand hygiene and proper waste disposal.
