
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Bosomtwe District Assembly, Hon. Abdullah Hamidu, together with the District GES Director and some Staff of the District Assembly visited the nursery pupil in Esereso and Aputuogya schools on Monday, 8th September, 2025 to mark ‘My First Day at School’ for the academic year. The visit was to interact and welcome fresh pupils entering basic school, to share his experiences, advice and encourage and also present some stationary as part of efforts to help sustain their interest in school. The schools visited includes Esereso D/A School and Aputuogya D/A School.
As part of the Bosomtwe District Assembly’s vision to promote education, the DCE gave each child stationaries to aid the learning process and to boost their excitement towards school. He expressed excitement towards the pupils’ preparedness to school and assured them of the Assembly’s assistance and encouraged them to be punctual and be of good behaviour at school. He also urged the teachers to inform him of children with special needs and pay extra attention to these children. He promised to visit them from time to time.
The Head teachers of the various schools expressed appreciation to the DCE and his team and asked for more support.
