
On Thursday, 24th July 2025, Positive Chain Reactions, a non-governmental organization in collaboration with the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), successfully organized an Inter-School Quiz Competition for nine (9) Junior High Schools within the Bosomtwe District. The competition aimed to test and enhance students' knowledge in key academic areas including Mathematics, English Language, Science, ICT, and General Knowledge.
After a keenly contested five-round challenge, Jachie Anglican D/A JHS emerged champions with 49 points, followed closely by Prenyase D/A JHS and Abono D/A JHS. In 2nd and 3rd respectively. As part of the awards ceremony, contestants and schools received trophies, medals, and educational materials to acknowledge their efforts and encourage academic excellence.
The event was highly commended by students, teachers, and organizers, who applauded the initiative for promoting learning, critical thinking, and healthy competition among schools in the district. Notable personalities present were CEO of PCR, Dr. Gifty Serwaa-Mensah, Mr. Albert Bentil – NCCE, Director, Ms. Firdaus Ibrahim – RTI, Director, Teachers and patrons of the competing schools. This successful collaboration reflects a continued commitment to youth development and quality education through civic engagement and community support.
