COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PHASE 5

As part of the activities of the District Chief Executive, Hon. Abdullah Hamidu to improve the economic growth of the District Assembly, a community engagement was organized in five communities. This marked the fifth edition of the community engagement. Atafram, Amakom, Ajamam, Beposo, Konkoma and Brodekwano witnessed the 5th phase of the engagement. Members present included The District Chief Executive, Hon. Abdullah Hamidu accompanied by the District Engineer, District Procurement Officer, Rep Agriculture Department, District Development Planning Officer, Environmental Health Officer, Records Officer, Right to Information Officer, Information Service Officer, MIS Officer, Budget Analyst, Revenue Superintendent, Assistant Directors and others, Chiefs of various communities, Community Members, Assembly members and unit committee members. The DCE, Hon. Abdullah Hamidu indicated in his briefing that, the objective was to have a direct engagement with the communities and to provide a platform for community members to voice out issues, needs and challenges, find solution and to strengthen the relationship between the district assembly and the local communities. This exercise was held on Tuesday, 19th August, 2025 in the mentioned communities. The DCE took the opportunity to introduce himself and also indicated that his doors were opened to all to share issues for solution. Some of the concerns raised included Construction KG Block, provision of Street Light, Upgrade to Clinic, Construction/rehabilitation of roads, Construction of Toilet Facility and others. The DCE thanked members for honouring his invitation to the engagement and promised to work together with community members for the development of the assembly.
