STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT WITH THE MINISTER FOR FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE

As part of the effort to improve fishing mechanisms in the country, the Hon. Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture paid a working visit to the Bosomtwe District Assembly on Monday, 11th May, 2026 at the Lake side Abono.   The visit was aided to inland fishers, local authorities and community stakeholders with inland fishing operation and dynamics, better understanding challenges facing the sector and explore strategies to enhance productivity, sustainability and livelihood within the community.

SOD-CUTTING CEREMONY FOR THE GREEN CITY PROJECT-DEDESUA

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama paid a working visit to Bosomtwe District Assembly on Saturday, 9th May, 2026 to cut sod for the Green City Project in Dedesua Community. The gathering was on the behalf of the Board of Directors and Management of the State of Housing Company Limited (SHC). This ceremony was organized for the construction of affordable homes in Dedesua. The District Chief Executive accompanied by all staff graced the occasion with their presence. A DAY ENGAGEMENT WITH BECE CANDIDATES

The District Chief Executive accompanied by the Ghana Education Service Directorates and some staff took a tour to some selected schools during the BECE examination on Wednesday, 6th May, 2026 to inspire the candidates and to encourage them towards a successful examination. This was aimed to the development of the district agenda to advance education sectors in the Community.  Teachers, as well as invigilators were urged not to put tension on students to be peaceful for a successful examination.
