MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY CELEBRATION

Menstrual hygiene is crucial for women's well-being, as poor practices can lead to reproductive tract infections (RTIs). Lack of knowledge often contributes to this issue. On May 26, 2023, the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, along with the District Education Directorate, organized a Menstrual Hygiene Day. It was sponsored by SUMDA Ghana Limited, with over 5,000 menstrual pad donations and support from the Bosomtwe District Assembly.

LAUNCHING OF THE GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE AND SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME.

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) collaborated with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) and the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR) to scale up the Citizens Generated Data pilot project in two thematic areas of Gender-Based Violence and Solid Waste Management and held a 2-day training for members.

A TWO (2) DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR DISTRICT TECHNICAL TEAMS ON CITIZENS GENERATED DATA

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) and the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR) scaled up the Citizens Generated Data pilot project in two thematic areas of Gender-Based Violence and Solid Waste Management. Some members were selected as member of the District Technical Team (DTT), whose mandate is to ensure the implementation and execution of the Citizen-Generated Data scale up project.
