The Bosomtwe District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) inaugurated the District Inter-Party Dialogue Committee (IPDC) at a meeting held in the Bosomtwe District Assembly Hall on Thursday, 29th August, 2023. The meeting, which began at 11:00 AM, was attended by key figures including the District Chief Executive (DCE), the Kontihene of Kuntanase, the Electoral Commissioner for Bosomtwe, and the District Police Commander.

The District Planning Co-ordinating Unit as their mandate to monitor and evaluate all projects within the District on Wednesday, 21st August, 2024 visited all on-going and completed projects. The inspected was led by Heads of Departments, Hon. Assembly Members and Stakeholders. The communities included Abuotem, Apinkra, Aputuogya, Esreso and Feyiase.  

On August 20, 2024, "My Time With NCCE," a radio program hosted by Mr. Albert Bentil (DD, Bosomtwe) on Evergreen Radio 87.7 FM, featured officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana’s Bosomtwe Directorate. The guests included Mr. Kwabena Siaw (Secretary) and Mr. Essien (District Returning Officer), who engaged in a discussion about the functions of the Electoral Commission and the recently commenced "Exhibition of the Voter Register.

The Bosomtwe District Assembly on Tuesday, 20th August, 2024 held their second Management meeting at the District Chief Executive’s office. The meeting was graced with the presence of the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director and Heads of Department and Units. The meeting discussed Preparation towards 2023 DPAT, Level of implementation of the 2024 Performance Contract and Other matters.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM, the Bosomtwe District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) collaborated with the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service had a special edition of "Time with NCCE" on Evergreen Radio 87.7 FM. The session focused on raising awareness about domestic violence.

A stakeholders meeting was organized at the forecourt of the Ghana Education Service Office-Aputuogya on Thursday, 1st August, 2024 at 10:00pm prompt. The meeting was organized to discussed matters of the Aputuogya market as agreed by the market committee. The meeting discussed the progress of work of the market, allocation of stores/stalls of the market and related issues and other business. In attendance were the committee members and Officers of the District Assembly.

On Monday, 29th July, 2024, the Bosomtwe District Assembly organised their Budget Committee meeting at the District Assembly conference hall at 10:00am prompt. The meeting discussed Previous Minutes, 2024 Mid-year Review and Any Other Business. The meeting also informed members on the Workshop on the 2024 Revised Budget and Uploading on GIFMIS.

The District Tender Committee meeting was held on Friday 28th June, 2024 at the Conference Room of the Bosomtwe District Assembly, Kuntanase. The meeting discussed Procurement Activities for Second Quarter 2024, Consideration and Approval of updated Second Quarter 2024 Procurement Plan, Consideration and Approval of the usage of contingency on the project titled; Construction of 1No. 12-Seater Water Closet Toilet Facility and Mechanized Borehole at Esereso, Consideration and Approval of the variation on the project titled; Construction of 1No.

An emergency DPCU meeting was held by the Bosomtwe District Assembly on Wednesday, 26th June, 2024 at the District Conference Hall-Kuntanase to discuss the report and findings of the district Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) report based on the 2021 Population and Hosing Census (PHC) of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). The meeting also discussed 2024 Performance Contract and Other Business.

On Wednesday, 19th June, 2024, the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, Heads of Department and Units held their first Management Meeting of the District Assembly. The meeting discussed General Assembly Decisions and way forward, Revenue mobilization strategy, Community engagement, Completion of delayed projects, Functionality of the Sub Structures and other matters. The meeting was organized in the District Chief Executive’s Office and all matters were discussed.

Link Community Development (LCD) organized a stakeholder meeting to discuss progress made in the implementation of the Luminos Second Chance Project in the Bosomtwe District on Monday, 10th June, 2024 in the District Assembly Conference Hall. A Presentation was led by the Ag. Executive Director of Link Community Development on the progress made so far.

The National Commission for Civic Education of Bosomtwe District Assembly celebrated their Annual Citizenship Week in the District. The theme for the celebration was “Children, Let’s Build Ghana Together”. As part of the celebration, the NCCE visited schools in the community to educate them on citizenship and encouraged them to live a good life in their communities.  

The United Nation has since 1973 declared 5th June of every year as World Environmental Day. The theme for the year’s celebration was ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience’.

The First Ordinary Meeting of the 1st Session of the 9th Assembly of Bosomtwe District Assembly was held on Friday 31st May, 2024 at the Assembly’s Conference Hall, Kokoado.

Menstrual Hygiene Day, celebrated annually on May 28, is a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of good Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). The event brings together nonprofits, government agencies, individuals, the private sector and media to break the silence and build awareness about the fundamental role that good menstrual hygiene plays in enabling women and girls to reach their full potential.

As part of efforts to improve sanitation in the District, the Assembly successfully completed the construction of 1NO. 10-Seater Aqua Privy Toilet Facility at Brodekwano Methodist JHS. This was commissioned on Tuesday, 28th May, 2024 and handed over to the community. Community members were advice to keep it clean and maintain it.

The Bosomtwe District Assembly organized their 5th spatial planning committee meeting on Wednesday, 22nd May, 2024 in the District Conference Hall. The meeting discussed Previous Minutes, Matters Arising, Presentation of Development Application Received, Presentation on Aputuogya Market and Other Matters.

The Bosomtwe District Health Directorate implemented a wellness clinic to curb the rise of Hypertension and Diabetes case within the district. In view of this the Health Directorate visited the District Assembly to organize a wellness checkup on staff on Tuesday, 21st May, 2024 in the Assembly’s Conference Hall. The team examined Blood Pressure, Diabetes Status, BMI, Height and weight.

The Bosomtwe District Assembly following the successful conduct of the District Level Election in December, 2023 and in accordance with the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936), inaugurated the newly elected Unit Committee Members of Jachie Area Council on Friday, 17th May, 2024 at the Church of Pentecost-Jachie. Members Were Sworn-in by The District Chief Executive.

Following the successful conduct of the District Level Election in December, 2023 and in accordance with the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936), the new Unit Committee Members of Kuntanase Area Council was inaugurated and sworn-in on Friday, 17th May, 2024 at the Methodist Church. This delegation was led by the District Chief Executive.

The newly elected Unit Committee Members of Boneso Area Council was inaugurated and sworn-in on Friday, 17th May, 2024 at the Methodist Church-Brodekwano. This delegation was led by the District Chief Executive. This was done following the successful conduct of the District Level Election in December, 2023 and in accordance with the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936).

 The ‘Nature-based Climate Adaption in the Guinean Forest of West Africa Project’ – NbS funded by Global Affairs Canada on Tuesday, 7th May, 2024 in collaboration with the Bosomtwe District Assembly organized a training to Incept Project and Validate Vulnerability Assessment of the Assembly.

The Bosomtwe District Assembly on Monday, 6th May 2024 organised a meeting with the Ministry of Finance-Fiscal Decentralization Unit on the 2023 and first quarter of 2024 monitoring assessment tool at the District Conference Hall.

The indicators for the District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) have been reviewed to include, among other things, the filling in of Sector data and Upload of documents/reports onto the District Development Data Platform (DDDP).

The Agricultural Department of the Bosomtwe District Assembly during their second quarter distributed oil palm seedlings to farmers in the community.  The number of farmers who benefited were 151. Males was 101 and 50 Females with the age average of 45years. Farmers recommended that management distribute more seedlings particularly coconut seedlings.
