DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS

The Bosomtwe District Assembly on Tuesday 20th May, 2025 observed the District Chief Executive elections in the Kessben University at Petrensa. The motive was to elect a DCE to steer and drive the assembly to achieving unity, solidarity and growth. The meeting saw a record attendance with a membership of 50 Assembly Members with 35 Members and 15 Appointees. The Heads of Department and Unit were also in attendance to witness the occasion and also the District Chief Executives from the neighboring Assemblies.

STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT MEETING

On Monday, 5th May, 2025 the Link Community Development (LCD) in collaboration with the District Assembly organized a stakeholders meeting to discuss the progress made in the implementation of the Luminous Second Chance Project in the Bosomtwe District Assembly. The meeting was held in the District Conference Hall. The meeting aimed for a smooth continuation of the project in the district. All members were present to make the meeting a success. CLEAN–UP EXERCISE

In line with government’s commitment to improve environmental cleanliness and promote suitable waste management, a cleanup exercise was undertaken on Saturday 12th April, 2025 within the Jachie-Pramso Area Council specifically the Esereso East and West areas in fulfilment of the reintroduction of the National Sanitation Day (NSD) by H. E. John Dramani Mahama. The exercise commenced at exactly 6:15am.

GHANA MONTH CELEBRATION

As part of activities to mark "the Ghana month" in the District Assembly, the Bosomtwe District Assembly in conjunction with the Center for National Culture held a mini–Staff Durbar on Friday, 28th March, 2025 at the Assembly's Conference Hall at exactly10:00am to commemorate the event. At the ceremony, local dishes and drinks was displaced and served. Again, cultural dance and history was exhibited. The event was purported to rekindle the purpose of culture and unity among staff of the Assembly and other people.

COMMISSIONING OF 1NO. 16 WATER CLOSET TOILET FACILITY WITH 4NO. BATHROOMS, 5NO. URINALS WITH 4000LTRS SEPTIC TANK AND 1NO. 2000LTRS AT ABONO

As part of the efforts to improve sanitation in the District, the Bosomtwe District Assembly successfully commissioned a 1No. 16 Water Closet Toilet Facility with 4No. Bathrooms, 5No. Urinals with 4000ltrs Septic Tank and 1No. 2000ltrs at Abono. The commissioning was directed by the District Chief Executive, District Coordinating Director, Staff and accompanied by Hon. Assembly Member and Unit Committee Chairman and Members and Community members. The exercise was completed on the 24th of December, 2025 at the Lake Side. 

NCCE BOSOMTWE DISTRICT CONSTITUTION QUIZ COMPETITION

To commemorate Ghana’s 68th Independence Day, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in collaboration with Bosomtwe District Assembly organized a Constitution Quiz Competition for selected Junior High Schools. The event aimed to deepen students' understanding of the 1992 Constitution to promote civic education and foster patriotism among others.

CONSTITUTION QUIZ COMPETITION

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) with Bosomtwe District Assembly want to use the opportunity to organise a Constitution Quiz Competition at the forecourt of the Assembly on Thursday, 6th March, 2025. The theme will be Ghana's Future: Our Collective Responsibility and will commence at exactly 8:00pm prompt. all interested members as well as schools will be participating and kindly urge everyone in the community to be part.  

2ND TECHNICAL SUB COMMITTEE MEETING FOR 2025

On Tuesday, 18th February, 2025 at 10:00 am prompt the Bosomtwe District Technical Sub Committee held their 2nd Meeting at the Assembly’s Conference Room. The meeting covered Reading and Confirmation of previous minutes, Site Inspection, Vetting of Development Applications, Discussions of the Site Inspection Report and Any Other Business. INAUGURATION OF THE DISTRICT OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE (DOC) FOR THE AFRICAN PEER REVIEW MECHANISM (APRM)

On Tuesday, 4th February, 2025 the Bosomtwe District Directorate of NCCE held a meeting to inaugurate the District Oversight Committee (DOC) of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and to elect it executive member to spearhead it function in the district. The meeting was held in the District Assembly Conference Hall and commenced at 11:00 AM.

1ST SPATIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING FOR 2025

The 1st Meeting of the Bosomtwe District Spatial Planning Committee was held on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2025 at 10:00am prompt at the Assembly’s Conference Room. The meeting discussed Reading and confirmation of previous minutes, Matters arising from Previous Minutes, Presentation of Revised Local Plan of Abuontem, Presentation of Development Applications and Other Business. The meeting was attended by members of the committee and in-attendance of the District Coordinating Director.

1ST TECHNICAL SUB COMMITTEE MEETING FOR 2025

On Tuesday, 21st January, 2025, the Bosomtwe District Assembly organized their 1st meeting for the District Technical Sub Committee. The meeting commenced at exactly 10:00 am prompt at the Assembly’s Conference Room. The meeting discussed Reading and Confirmation of previous minutes, Site Inspection, Vetting of Development Applications, Discussions of the Site Inspection Report (Tuesday @ Conference Room) and Any Other Business. The meeting ended successfully with all members of the committee attendance. 

PWD DISBURSEMENT-2024

On 24th December,2024, the Disability Fund Management Committee of the Bosomtwe District Assembly organized a short but epoch-making ceremony to present items to deserving beneficiaries of the Disability Common Fund. In all nineteen (19) deserving PWDs who had earlier been selected and assessed were presented with items which were intended to put food on their table if utilized well.

40TH NATIONAL FARMERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Bosomtwe Assembly in collaboration with The Department of Agriculture celebrated the 40th National Farmers Day, 2024. The theme for the year’s celebration was “Building Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security”. The programme came off on Friday, 8th November, 2024 at Yaase/Adwafo School Park. The program was marked with Agricultural Fair and Awards.

BREAST CANCER SCREENING

The Bosomtwe District Assembly in collaboration with the Bosomtwe Health Directorate conducted a breast cancer screening for staff of the assembly in the breast cancer awareness month to know their status. This will help especially the women to detect earlier if any to seek timely medical intervention. The screening was held on Wednesday, 30th October, 2024 at the District Assembly Conference Hall, Kuntanase at exactly 10:00am.
